Alibi Security Privacy Statement
Observint Technologies (dba Alibi Security) operates www.alibisecurity.com and provides the Alibi Vigilant Mobile Apps, Alibi Cloud VS mobile app, Alibi Toolbox, Alibi Arsenal websites, Alibi CMS and other software used to manage our solutions (the “Sites and Services”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Sites and Services.
We collect various information through and on our services depending on the nature of our relationship with you and how we choose to interact with us, including, but not limited to, personal data. We use your Personal Information only for providing and improving the Sites and Services and your experience interacting with them. By using the Sites and Services, you agree to the collection and use of information following this policy. We collect information in two main ways: (a) information you provide to us and (b) information collected automatically when you use the Sites and Services.
Information You Provide
While using our Sites and Services, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally, identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address, Credit Card Type, Credit Card Number, Credit Card Expiration Date, Credit Card Security Code, and Name and Address associated with Your Credit Card (“Personal Information”). If we ask you to provide us with information in these cases and you choose not to, you may not be able to access the relevant Services and/or some features may not operate as intended.
We also collect the information you voluntarily provide to sign up for email alerts, use our tools, or contact us for customer support. If you enter a contest, we'll collect your application information and other information we may need to help confirm your eligibility and process rewards. We collect whatever information you choose to provide to us in those or other similar cases.
If you provide a phone number voluntarily on the Sites or Services, you are giving consent to be contacted by the Alibi Security team via SMS message. You may opt-out from SMS messages at any time.
Information We Collect Automatically
We collect some information automatically when you visit, access, or use the Sites and Services. This includes but is not limited to information about your Sites or Services usage, product registrations, downloads, and other activity in the Sites and Services. While varying, the information we collect automatically includes:
- Usage information and statistics about how you interact with the Sites and Services, including crash reports and navigation data (the URLs of our websites you visit, URLs of referring and exiting pages, page views, time spent on a page);
- Technical information about the devices you use to access our Sites and Services, IP address, device identifiers, internet service provider, plugins, or other identifier information for your device (for example, device make and model, operating systems and browsers, or other device or system-related specifications);
- The general location of your device, which we typically identify from your device's IP address.
The Sites and Services use technologies such as cookies, log files, and web beacons to automatically collect the types of information listed above. Some of these technologies may create small files or record-keeping tools stored on your device. They help recognize your device and provide information about how you interact with our Sites and Services. How We Use Your Information
As a general matter, we use the information we collect to help us provide, improve, customize, analyze, and promote the Services. This includes using it for purposes such as:
- Creating user profiles, verifying and managing user accounts and features.
- Provide the Services, as well as support and assistance. It also includes sharing data, when it is required to provide the service or carry out the transactions you request.
- Personalize your experience and make recommendations.
- Advertise and market the Sites and Services to you, including sending promotional communications, target advertising, and relevant notifications.
- Comply with our legal or contractual obligations and enforce our terms.
For these purposes, we combine data collected to give users a more personalized, consistent and seamless experience when interacting with our Sites and Services, to make informed business decisions, and for other legitimate purposes. We may use and disclose aggregated or de-identified information for any reason permitted by law.
Recipients of Your Information
We may share your information with our related entities including our partners, but only for the business purposes specified in this Privacy Policy. We may disclose your information:
- Under a legal obligation to disclose or share any data or to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements. This may include exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

You may provide information or content to be published or displayed in public areas of the Services or transmitted to other users of the Services or third parties (including testimonials and case studies). Such information can be viewed by anyone interacting with the Sites and Services.
We may share your information with third parties to perform services on our behalf such as:
- Fulfilling orders and delivering packages
- Providing customer care and technical support, including servicing products
- Sending marketing communications and providing advertising services
- Measurement and reporting of advertising frequency, attribution, and performance
- Personalizing customer experience on our digital properties
- Fulfilling subscription services
- Processing credit card payments
- Detecting fraud and other illegal activity
We may share personal information in the event of a corporate sale, merger, acquisition, joint venture, reorganization, divestiture, dissolution, liquidation, or similar event.
Privacy Settings Controls
We seek to provide you with meaningful choices about the personal data we collect. The specific choices available to you often vary depending on how you interact with the Services:
- You can change your email marketing preferences at any time by using the opt-out steps in our marketing emails.
- You can add, remove or correct data on your account using the appropriate login credentials for “The Services”
- You can request to add, remove, or correct data on your account. Please submit requests to access, update, or delete personal information associated with your account by us at [email protected]
- NOTE: If you are submitting a deletion request, your account will be permanently terminated and personal information on that account will be deleted consistent with any applicable laws. Once your deletion request is processed: you will lose the ability to log into our website(s) and mobile app(s);. To the extent we are able to link the information in your request to our marketing programs (e.g., email and text subscriptions), we will remove you from those programs, but depending on how you enrolled in those programs you may need to separately opt-out of them as described above. If your account is deleted, you will be able to open a new account in the future, but you will not be able to tie the new account to any past transactions.
- You can change your browser or mobile device settings to block, manage, delete, or limit tracking technologies like cookies. In some cases, this may cause the Sites and Services not to work as intended and some features may not be available.
More on interest-based advertising & related information sharing
You can opt out of interest-based advertising from third-party providers who follow the Digital Advertising Alliance's Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.
As a general rule, when we share personal information the contract between us and the receiving party places specific limits on how they use the information in support of Alibi Security. However, this general rule does not apply to some information sharing for advertising purposes. For example, we may share browsing history from our website or our prediction of your preferences/interests and personal information (like a device identifier or IP address, for example) with third parties to support providing you or a device relevant ads. Some recipients may combine this information with assumptions based on other information they have collected in order to tailor ads to you or the identified device.
As another example, we may share consumer purchase history with social-media companies so that, if you have an account with that company’s digital properties, they can improve the performance of our advertising on their properties and we can better assess how those advertisements performed. Some of these companies will combine this information with other personal information for their own purposes, independent of Alibi Security, but are obligated by law to follow their own privacy policy.

Social media features
Our digital properties may include ways to interact and share using social media, through features such as a “thumbs up” button, "share this" button, or interactive mini-programs that run on our website ("widgets"). These features may collect information such as your IP address or the page you are visiting on our website and may set cookies to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features can be hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our website. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the social media company providing the feature.
Sale of Personal Data
Alibi Security does not sell personally-identifiable information collected through Alibi Security Systems or websites to any third-party, outside vendors.
Log Data
Like many website operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Sites ("Log Data").
This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Sites and Services that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages and other statistics. In addition, we may use third-party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor, and analyze this Log Data.
Communications
We may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that is related to Alibi Security video surveillance.
Cookies
Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer's hard drive.
Like many sites, we use "cookies" to collect information and to provide you with a more personalized online experience. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Sites and Services.
Security
Where we have given you (or you have created) a password giving you access to certain parts of our Sites and Services, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. It is highly recommended that you do not share your password with anyone, update it regularly, and use a combination of letters, numbers and symbols.
The transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. We will do our best to protect your information on our Sites and Services, however, we cannot guarantee the security of your data. Once we have received your data, we will use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorized access, including keeping security patches up to date, and constantly monitoring and researching new ways to keep data secure.
Alibi Security employs advanced industry-standard cybersecurity, administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access to Customer Data.
Changes To This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy will remain in effect except for any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page or in the Service.
We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
