People Counting
The Counting feature enables you to create a virtual line or area within the camera field of view, and count people or objects that move across that line. The counting analytic can be used for people flow counting (counts number of people entering/existing a line) and crowd density monitoring (set a threshold of people allowed in an area set by the user.
Features and Benefits
- Easy setup to count objects that move across the line in either direction
- The arming schedule allows you to set up a schedule for when counting is enabled
- The Enable OSD Overlay feature enables you to show counting statistics overlaid on the live view image.
- The overlay shows the counts for Enter (people/objects passing in the direction of the arrow on the virtual line) and Leave
- You can change the direction of the arrow on the virtual line, to reverse the Enter and Leave counts
